Company addresses on the map

To place a company on the map and include it in a route, Route Planner needs a usable address. It builds this from the company's address fields in HubSpot — street address, city, postal code, and country — and looks up the coordinates automatically. Each company gets one of three status labels so you can see at a glance how reliable its location is.

Verified address

An exact match was found and the company is placed precisely on the map. These companies are ready to add to a route.

Approximate

A match was found, but it was not an exact rooftop match — the pin may be slightly off. You can still add these companies to a route; just be aware the exact stop position may need a small adjustment when driving. This usually happens when the HubSpot address is incomplete or slightly ambiguous.

No address

No usable address was found in HubSpot, so the company cannot be placed on the map or added to a route. These companies are listed separately under "Without address — cannot be included".

How to fix missing or approximate addresses

The best fix is to complete the company's address in HubSpot:

  • Open the company record in HubSpot
  • Fill in the street address, city, postal code, and country
  • Re-load the segment in Route Planner

Once the HubSpot address is updated, Route Planner will pick up the new location the next time you load the list.

Addresses are cached

To keep things fast and cost-efficient, Route Planner remembers the coordinates it has already looked up for each company. Loading the same segment again is quick and does not re-process unchanged addresses. If a company's address changes in HubSpot, Route Planner automatically looks it up again.

Coming later

A future Professional feature will let you refine approximate or missing addresses directly in Route Planner — searching for the correct location, confirming it, and optionally writing the verified address back to HubSpot. For now, update the address in HubSpot to improve the result.
