How to connect multiple 46elks accounts
Route different sender names through different 46elks accounts on the same HubSpot portal.
Why connect more than one 46elks account?
If you run several brands or business units from one HubSpot portal, you might want each brand to be billed separately by 46elks, or to use sender names that belong to different 46elks owners. Brave Tools lets you connect multiple BYOK 46elks accounts to a single portal, then route each sender through the right one.
This is a Professional plan feature. Standard plans are limited to a single 46elks account per portal.
How to connect a second account
- Open SMS Campaigns > Settings > Senders
- Scroll down to the Connected 46elks accounts section
- Click Add account
- Give it a label that helps you tell it apart from the first one
- Paste the API Username and API Password from your second 46elks account (sub account)
- Click Save. We verify the credentials with 46elks immediately
The new account appears in the list with a green "Verified" badge. If verification fails, double-check that you copied the API password (not the account password) from your 46elks dashboard.
Routing senders to the right account
Each sender on the Senders tab shows a small chip with the 46elks account it currently uses. To change which account a sender routes through:
- Click the chip on the sender row
- Pick Reassign
- Select the target 46elks account in the side panel
- Click Save
Already-sent SMS keep their original routing in reports. Only future sends use the new account.
Editing or removing an account
From the Connected 46elks accounts section you can:
- Edit label: rename the account to something more descriptive
- Rotate API key: paste a new API password if you regenerated it in 46elks
- Delete: remove the account. We refuse to delete an account that still has active senders attached, so reassign or remove those senders first
What if I just want one account?
One account works fine for most setups. The multi-account option is there for agencies and multi-brand teams who need separate billing or sender ownership. You can start with one and add more later.
