How to reassign a sender to another 46elks account
Move a sender from one connected 46elks account to another without losing history.
When you might do this
You connected a second 46elks account and want a specific sender to route through it instead of the original one. Or you got new credentials from 46elks for an existing sender and want to switch routing.
How to reassign
- Open SMS Campaigns > Settings > Senders
- Find the sender you want to move
- Click the small chip on the sender row that shows its current 46elks account
- Pick Reassign from the menu
- In the side panel, select the target 46elks account
- Click Save
The chip updates to show the new account. Future SMS from this sender go through the new credentials.
What happens to past sends?
Nothing changes for already-sent SMS. Reports still show the original routing for those messages. Reassignment is forward-looking only.
What if Reassign is greyed out?
Reassign needs at least two verified 46elks accounts connected to the portal. If you only have one connected, the option is disabled. Connect a second 46elks account first, then come back here.
Can I also reassign in bulk?
Not yet. Each sender is reassigned individually. For most setups you only have a handful of senders, so it goes quickly.
