How to switch between accounts
Move between your personal account and team accounts using the account switcher in the sidebar.
What is an account?
In Brave Tools, every user has a personal account that is created automatically when you sign up. If you are on the Professional plan, you can also create or join team accounts to collaborate with colleagues.
Each account has its own:
- Connected HubSpot portals
- SMS credits and subscription plan
- SMS campaigns and reports
- Activity feed and settings
Where is the account switcher?
The account switcher is located at the top of the sidebar, just below the Brave Tools logo. It shows your current account name and a pastel avatar.
Switching accounts
- Click on the account switcher at the top of the sidebar
- A dropdown appears showing all accounts you belong to
- Click on the account you want to switch to
- The page reloads with the selected account as your active context
Your active account is remembered — next time you log in, you will return to the same account.
Account types in the switcher
- Personal — Your own account (always available)
- Team — Team accounts you are a member of (shown with team avatar)
Each account shows its plan tier (Free, Trial, Standard, Professional) next to the name.
Creating a new team account
From the account switcher dropdown, click Create Team at the bottom. You will be prompted to enter a team name and confirm. After creation, you automatically become the owner of the new team.
Note: Team accounts are only available on the Professional plan.
What changes when I switch accounts?
When you switch accounts, the entire app context changes:
- The tools in the sidebar show data from the active account
- Connected portals, credits, campaigns, cards, and packs all reflect the active account
- Admin actions (if you are owner/admin) apply to the active account
- Billing and subscription info is tied to the active account
Your user profile and login remain the same — only the account context changes.
Tip: Check which account you are in
Always verify the account name in the sidebar before taking actions like sending SMS campaigns or connecting portals. Accidentally acting in the wrong account is a common mistake with multi-account setups.
