Who can use Brave Tools?

Brave Tools can be used with or without a HubSpot connection. Some tools work fully on their own, while others require specific HubSpot scopes and license tiers. Below is a clear breakdown of what you need.

Tools that work without any HubSpot license

You can create a Brave Tools account and use these tools with no HubSpot connection at all:

• Annual Planner (manual planning only, no HubSpot data)

• Growth Prioritizer

These are fully standalone unless you want to pull data from a HubSpot portal.

Tools that require a HubSpot license

HubDB Editor

Scope: hubdb
License: Content Hub Professional or Content Hub Enterprise
Free and Starter tiers do not include HubDB access.

File Manager

Scope: files
License: Works with all HubSpot hubs, including Free
Note: higher storage limits require Professional or Enterprise tiers.

Annual Planner

Scope: content (blogs and emails), marketing event and campaigns  
License: Content Hub Starter or higher
The Free tier does not include blog tools. Also the campaign tool is also only available in Marketing Professional or Enterprise.

Property Pack Builder

Scopes: crm.schemas.contacts.read/write, crm.schemas.companies.read/write, crm.schemas.deals.read/write and tickets

License: Works in all tiers, including Free CRM

Optional scopes (tool works but with reduced functionality)

Annual Planner – Marketing Events

Scope: crm.objects.marketing_events.read
License: Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise
Without this, the Annual Planner will only show blogs, emails, and campaigns.
